Ultimate Word Search Free App Reviews

I really thought this was a good word search game, and if you like word searches, but if you dont be warned, its not really anything special. I mean, it has good word searches, nice themes and all that, and the soup looks REALLY good, but its nothing special.

The layout is great as are the options. I only wish there were level difficulties, (easy, medium, hard, expert) with a coorosponding grid size to match the level.

I love search a word. This is easy and fun to do online. I love all the noises it makes once you get the word. Very addictive.

i think for a word search game its pretty awesome i mean like seriously its free! what more can you ask for? there are topics you can choose from and two different themes . I really like it :)

If you love word games, this is a good one for you! There cannot be difficulty levels, difficulty is the same but the time it takes you to finish the level depends on you! If your time is getting better, you know you are improving. I recommend it!

First off, I love word searches. Ive been searching everywhere for a good word search game that I can play every once and a while to kill off some time. I thought this game would do it, theres no in app purchases, its free to download and it had a good review with some decent screenshot descriptions. Playing this however, I saw a completely differnet story. There are several themes of words you can search (Which is great), but the game overall is so easy. with little imagination within each theme (The same words are more or less put in different places in the word lexicon), theres two board themse, a professional one and one where you cant read, and lastly as I said there are no difficilty levels. I wanted a game that would kill time, not thirty seconds. Its a fun game when actually have to search for something and not have it in plain sight.

If you love word search puzzles, youll probably like this app. It has two board modes (alphabet soup, and crossoword/detective styes). Both are pictured above, but I play in soup style because I find the crossoword-style boxes make it difficult and distracting to actually find the words. Also, I am really glad theres an option to turn the sounds off, because i personally found the little noises after each word annoying. I did run into a bug issue, in that a word on the list appeared twice in the search list, but only once on the board- so it was unsolveable and I just had to quit that game. So far, that only happened the one time, and the rest of the games have gone fine. Also, it would be nice if there was a way to turn off the little timer in the upper righthand corner so its not pressuring you if youre just relaxing, but at least its fairly easy to ignore. The game is really nicely done though, and I do recommend it for some fun "mental jumping jacks" when you need a little break :)

Unexpectedly quits even while in options menu

This is one ugly app. Its interface is cute for the first two seconds, then you get annoyed with the giant cursor and you notice how clunky the animation is and how slowly the thing runs. The word lists are fine, the scrambles are fine. But the interface is just awful. Wish the panes were bigger and the word lists longer though. But mostly, even in the "classic" view, you cant get rid of that stupid giant cursor and the clunky way it plays. My average time to solve the puzzles is 3 minutes, so it isnt hard.

Updated and the dock icon is invisible.

Now I dont feel so left in the cold with my not-so-new intel Mac. Love this app!

its far too simple its definatly something for prek-1st grade or so. There is no challenge.

Really I bought this game to have a little brain exercise and it was just a waste of time because its to easy!!!

Needs a pause option for when your doing other things and not just sitting there only doing this. I tend to play while in between doing laundry or cooking etc. and it would be nice to be able to pause it when i need. But other than that it is an ok app.
